About the Role
<p>An excellent opportunity has arisen for a confident and compassionate <strong>Veterinary Surgeon</strong> to join a friendly and growing small animal practice in <strong>Streatham, Greater London</strong>. This is an ideal role for a vet seeking clinical autonomy, a supportive environment, and the chance to make a real impact within a close-knit team.</p>
<p><strong>The Role:</strong><br />
You’ll work alongside a dedicated <strong>Lead Vet,</strong> an experienced <strong>Registered Veterinary Nurse</strong>, and two <strong>Veterinary Care Assistants</strong>, all focused on delivering the highest standard of care to patients and clients. The role offers a perfect balance between independence and support, with access to Medivet’s wider clinical network when needed.</p>
<p><strong>Rota & Hours:</strong></p>
<ul>

<p>Full-time: 40 hours per week</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Flexible weekend options: <strong>1 in 3 Saturdays</strong> or <strong>1 in 6 full weekends</strong> at a nearby 24-hour hospital</p>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>No out-of-hours</strong> work required</p>
</li>

<p><strong>The Practice:</strong><br />
Set on a single, spacious floor designed for efficiency and comfort, the practice features:</p>

<p>Two consultation rooms and a dedicated surgical theatre</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Ultrasound, dental x-ray, and in-house laboratory</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Separate dog and cat waiting areas and kennels</p>
</li>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Deliver high-quality clinical care during consultations and procedures</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Maintain accurate patient records and ensure clear client communication</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Manage admissions, discharges, and treatment plans</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Work confidently in sole charge when required</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Mentor and support junior team members</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Uphold high standards of regulatory and operational compliance</p>
</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>

<p><strong>RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon</strong></p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Minimum of <strong>2 years’ UK small animal GP experience</strong></p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Confident working independently and in a small team setting</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Excellent communication and leadership skills</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>A proactive, client-focused approach</p>
</li>
</ul>
