The course is open to PGR students and research staff.  Options after your studies A research degree opens up a wide range of career options. You could continue with research in a paid position, move into an industry role or consider self-employment or starting a business. Support for research staff Research staff who are in the early part of their career (usually up to 7 years post PhD) have access to dedicated Careers Consultant Mike Burns.
