About the Role
Perform production assembly operations and complete system analysis, testing, and performance optimization of instruments
Troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical, or software issues on test equipment
Analyze test data to determine pass/fail results and implement corrective solutions
Optimize system performance including precision movement and light-based systems
Build and integrate instruments while understanding full assembly requirements
Execute functional and release testing for moderately complex instruments
Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements
Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards
Train and mentor associates on testing and mechanical activities
Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and quality standards
Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing as needed
Perform material handling and maintain a clean, safe work environment
Support Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
Work overtime as required to meet business needs
Electromechanical Test Technician I Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
3.5 years of manufacturing experience OR an AA technical degree with relevant skills
Experience supporting testing of moderately complex electromechanical instruments
Fundamental knowledge of mechanical tools (torque drivers, gauges, bits, etc.)
Ability to read drawings and interpret measurements and specifications
Strong math and analytical skills
Basic PC proficiency in a Windows environment
Ability to manage multiple production orders within time standards
Ability to work within defined quality procedures and regulatory requirements
Strong communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability
Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Electromechanical Test Technician I Preferred Qualifications
Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environments
Experience with Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing initiatives
Prior experience mentoring or training team members
Experience processing Quality Notifications (QNs)
