SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary - Cleckheaton - September 2026

About the Role:

Justteachers is recruiting a caring and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant for a long-term supply role in a primary school in Cleckheaton, starting in September. The school is dedicated to supporting pupils with additional needs through a nurturing and inclusive approach to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
• Assist teachers in delivering differentiated learning activities.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional and academic development.
• Monitor and report on pupil progress and engagement.
• Foster a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.

Pre-requisites:

• Experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, empathetic and flexible approach.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice.
• Ability to provide two education-based references.
