The Role
As Kitchen Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and back-of-house areas, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene are maintained throughout service.
Your duties will include:
- Washing and cleaning pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
- Assisting with deliveries and stock organisation.
- Supporting the chefs with basic food preparation as required.
- Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
- Working efficiently as part of a professional kitchen team during busy service periods.
The Ideal Candidate
Our client is looking for someone who:
- Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Is reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure.
- Enjoys working as part of a team in a high-volume kitchen.
- Has previous kitchen porter experience (preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided).
- Is flexible to work evenings, weekends, and peak holiday periods.
Package
- Hourly paid position with expected annual earnings of approximately £33,000, depending on hours worked.
- Estimated annual gratuities of around £5,000, paid in addition to wages.
