Alternative Provision Teacher - Doncaster

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Alternative Provision (AP) Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Doncaster, starting ASAP. This is a full-time, long-term supply position with urgent shortlisting underway, and a strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The school, part of a large and inclusive trust, is recognised for its nurturing ethos and commitment to supporting pupils with diverse and complex needs.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored lessons and interventions for pupils working within an alternative provision setting.
• Support students with behavioural, social, emotional and learning needs to re-engage with education.
• Implement and contribute to personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
• Work closely with pastoral teams, SEN staff and external agencies to provide holistic support.
• Maintain a safe, structured and supportive learning environment.

Pre-requisites:

• Relevant teaching qualifications (e.g., QTS or equivalent).
• Proven experience of working within an Alternative Provision or similar specialist setting.
• Strong knowledge of behaviour management, personalised learning and SEMH support.
• Two education or school-based references.
• A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
