<p>Senior Estimator – Concrete &amp; Carpentry Construction<br /> Salary: $100,000–$140,000<br /> Location: Worcester County, MA<br /> Type: Full-Time<br /> Overview:<br /> A reputable general contractor is seeking a Senior Construction Estimator with expertise in concrete construction and general carpentry. This role focuses on self-performed work estimating and excludes General Conditions, site work, and process/equipment scopes. The ideal candidate will lead preconstruction efforts, manage bid teams, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Lead architectural and structural estimating for commercial and industrial projects<br /> Perform quantity takeoffs, labor/equipment analysis, and cost breakdowns<br /> Review subcontractor bids, conduct scope reviews, and develop project schedules<br /> Attend pre-bid meetings and collaborate with clients, engineers, and architects<br /> Present final estimates to leadership and support project handoff to operations<br /> Supervise and mentor 2–4 junior estimators</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field<br /> 7–10 years of experience in construction estimating, including leadership roles<br /> Strong background in concrete estimating, carpentry estimating, and self-performed work<br /> Proficient in estimating software (Sage/Timberline, PlanSwift, ISqFt, Microsoft Office)<br /> Familiarity with design-build projects, prevailing wage rates, and public bidding rules<br /> Valid driver’s license</p> <p>Company Culture:<br /> We’re a team-oriented construction firm that values craftsmanship, accountability, and long-term relationships.
