About the role:
A large community primary school in Blackley is seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEND Primary Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. The school is proud of its inclusive ethos, supportive leadership, and strong focus on early learning, pupil progress, and wellbeing.
As a SEND Teacher, you will lead a group of mixed ability and needs children in a brand new resource provision along side the SENDCO and 5 specialist TAS who will support you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the needs of the children
- Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
- Supporting pupils in developing strong early reading and writing skills
- Communicating effectively with parents and carers to share progress, celebrate achievements, and address any concerns
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and school leaders to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
- Understanding EHCPs and following through with support plans
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in a SEND setting
- A strong understanding of early years development and the national curriculum
- Secure knowledge of phonics teaching and early maths strategies
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
