About the Role

Our client, a precision plastics manufacturer, has an immediate need for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic, to join their winning team in Odenton. Our candidate of choice will be responsible for maintaining the facility through preventative measures and through repair. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Troubleshoot all facets of needs for the facility; Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Mechanical. Ability to read and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs & VFDs Performs general services, repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance for manufacturing equipment, compressors, and general facility warehousing equipment Utilize all skillsets to ensure efficiency and uptime for safe operation of our facility. Working knowledge of OSHA. Responding to emergency maintenance calls for all areas in facility. Perform preventative & reliable maintenance tasks Working knowledge of Schematics and Blueprints Ability to understand, interpret, read and write in English Strong ability to Troubleshoot equipment Ability to be flexible with work schedule Develop programs for CNC lathes and mills to produce precision parts from 2D drawings, CAD models, or parts lists. Utilize Mastercam with ability to program 3D work. Capable of programming horizontal and vertical milling centers both 3 and 4-axis. Complete set-ups for multi-axis CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines and lathes. Ability to design and program necessary fixtures or tools for manufacturing parts. Supporting CNC operators with troubleshooting machine or process problems, tool selection, fixture issues, gaging, etc. Manage CNC controls (i.e. HAAS, FANUC, FAGOR, offsetting, teaching tools, and loading programs, etc.) Knowledge and experience running manual equipment. Experience with 2D Drawings and CAD Models Strong understanding of GD&T principles and blueprint/solid model comprehension. Expert understanding of optimal tooling selection, feed and speed calculation, materials, and overall process improvement. Maintain spare parts and maintenance crib to ensure parts availability. KEY REQUIREMENTS: High School Degree or GED (Required) Technical Degree (Preferred) CNC experience 2-5 Pneumatics Experience 2-5 years Mechanical Maintenance: 2-5 years Electrical Experience 2-5 years Fabrication experience Reliable Transportation (Required) Carpentry Skills
