About the Role
Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing fire safety and compliance specialist, delivering accredited fire protection services across London and the South East.
They are now looking to recruit an experienced Smoke Control Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a mobile field-based position where you will visit a range of client sites, carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on smoke control and ventilation systems across residential and commercial properties.

The Role
As a Smoke Control Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of smoke ventilation and smoke control systems while ensuring all work meets relevant British Standards and industry regulations.
You will play a key role in maintaining system reliability and delivering high-quality service to clients across London and the South East.
Key Responsibilities
Service and maintain smoke control systems in accordance with British Standards and manufacturer guidelines
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mechanical and natural smoke ventilation systems
Travel to client sites across London and the South East
Accurately complete service reports and documentation using mobile systems
Deliver a professional, customer-focused service on every visit
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with compliance requirements
Requirements
Essential
Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Smoke Control Engineer
Experience working with multiple manufacturers’ smoke control and ventilation systems
Strong knowledge of mechanical and natural smoke ventilation systems
Good understanding of relevant British Standards (including BS 7346) and building regulations
Experience in servicing, fault finding and repairing smoke control systems
Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
Full UK driving licence
