We are looking for an experienced Safety Engineer to support a major UK Defence engineering programme. Working within the production team, you'll provide safety engineering expertise to support concession management, design modifications and engineering compliance throughout the production lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and assess engineering concessions.
  • Support safety reviews for design modifications.
  • Work closely with engineering and project teams to resolve safety issues.
  • Act as deputy to the Concessions Engineer when required.
  • Maintain safety documentation and records.
  • Support safety audits, reviews and compliance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and engineering policies.
Essential Requirements
  • Professionally registered as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) as a minimum.
  • Experience delivering engineering safety activities and providing technical safety advice.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering safety and risk management.
Desirable
  • Formal Safety Engineering qualification or training.
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Defence or other highly regulated engineering experience.
