We are looking for an experienced Safety Engineer to support a major UK Defence engineering programme. Working within the production team, you'll provide safety engineering expertise to support concession management, design modifications and engineering compliance throughout the production lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and assess engineering concessions.
- Support safety reviews for design modifications.
- Work closely with engineering and project teams to resolve safety issues.
- Act as deputy to the Concessions Engineer when required.
- Maintain safety documentation and records.
- Support safety audits, reviews and compliance activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and engineering policies.
Essential Requirements
- Professionally registered as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) as a minimum.
- Experience delivering engineering safety activities and providing technical safety advice.
- Strong knowledge of engineering safety and risk management.
Desirable
- Formal Safety Engineering qualification or training.
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Defence or other highly regulated engineering experience.
