OPTI STAFFING IS HIRING! Forklift Operator Location: North Plains, OR Pay: $19.00–$24.00/hr DOE Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Who We Are: Our client is a well-established lumber manufacturer that has grown from a small producer of clear Douglas Fir products into a leading manufacturer of specialty Douglas Fir, Hemlock, Western Red Cedar, and Alaska Yellow Cedar products. Their focus is on delivering premium-quality materials for architectural and high-end building applications while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and craftsmanship. What You'll Do: As a Forklift Operator, you'll play a key role in keeping production moving by safely transporting lumber throughout the facility. Responsibilities include: Operate Hyster 120 forklifts to move large units of lumber safely and efficiently. Load, unload, and transport lumber throughout the yard and production areas. Stage materials for production and shipping. Maintain safe operating practices while maneuvering oversized loads in a busy lumber yard. Perform daily equipment inspections. Assist with general yard duties as needed. Work closely with production and shipping teams to ensure efficient workflow. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. What We're Looking For: Preferred Qualifications: 1+ year experience operating large-capacity forklifts, preferably Hyster 120s. Previous experience handling lumber or other oversized building materials. Ability to safely maneuver wide, heavy loads in a fast-paced yard environment. Strong safety awareness and attention to detail. Dependable with a solid work ethic. We'll Also Consider: Candidates with standard forklift experience who are eager to learn. This role requires precision, awareness, and confidence operating a forklift in tight spaces while handling high-value materials.
